Pro-Whatcom - Preserving Our Quality of Life

 Our Vision
Our community will identify—through a democratic and scientific process—an optimal Whatcom County population size and work to reach and level off at that size. We envision prosperous, compact, livable cities with permanent hard-line urban growth boundaries. We advocate protection of natural resources, particularly aquifers, bays, and streams. We support protecting rural areas for sustainable farms, forests, and wildlife habitat.

Find out why people actually want to be slimmer. Some people might say that they want to be thin because being fat makes them look a tad unattractive. Or clumsy, some might add. Of course we at aren’t saying that wanting to look good shouldn’t be a good motive for pining for slimness, but we say that this should not be your primary mindset. The longer you remain in your overweight state, the longer you are exposing yourself to risks. Check it out online. More people die every year from being fat longer than was necessary. There have been a lot of materials and books written for the purpose of enlightening us that reducing your fat level would also lead to an inversely proportional increase in your life span as well as the quality of your life.
